The two districts of Dartford and Gravesend make up Kent Thameside, an area that will see some of the most exiting developments in the Gateway including:

• The new Channel Rail Link station at Ebbsfleet which will attract national and international business to the area.
• 7,000 new houses and a School of the Future in Eastern Quarry.
• New waterside developments on the Swanscombe Peninsula, along the embankment at Northfleet and around Gravesend Canal Basin.
• New business quarters in Springhead and St. Clements Valley

These will join the existing iconic shopping centre at Bluewater to transform the area.
